omg lesson #72: fetish wear for boys....

i shamelessly admit i love fetish wear. i love corsets, lingerie, stockings, the thigh high boots and pretty shoes. and i wear it for me. not b/c it fits a submissive's aesthetic for how a fantasy domme should look. i have a thing for latex and leather. and yes, aesthetics play a big role not only in my kink life but also in my vanilla life.

i find that many many submissive men have images on their profiles with dommes with the quintessential corset and high heels all the time. and yet, when you see their pix, there is no fetish wear in sight. usually, it's their cock on display. or marks from a beating. or having been bound in some way. but no fetish wear eye candy for me. no leather, latex, etc. naked seems to be the common theme. which to me smacks of laziness. and no, i don't want to see your naked self. i want to see something that shows you put some thought, effort and energy into creating an aesthetic for me to enjoy looking at.

to be clear, i am speaking of specific kink pix (and i include naked pix in this category) where men want the "sexy" domme but don't put in the effort to be the "sexy" submissive. i especially find this at play parties. it's sooo disappointing that the women (both subs and dommes) look amazing and the men all come in faded jeans and worn t-shirts (or so it seems). rare is the man who wears some leather, latex or other cool fetish gear. or at the very least, makes an effort to be presentable.

and if you are in doubt about the real effect of wearing fetish wear might have in your chances in attracting/impressing a woman, let me tell you that i have struck up many a conversation with a man at a play party b/c of what he was wearing. i compliment respectfully - basically "i love your outfit" or "great outfit - may i ask where you got it?" if you're a wallflower and want a domme to speak to you, i know plenty (including myself) who will speak to any men at a play party who's made an attempt at fetish wear and good grooming.

need some help? well, keep in mind, this is my aesthetic. and advice specifically for what i might like :)

men: when in doubt, pick one thing. like a kilt and a smart black t-shirt and combat boots. or pick a leather chest harness and clean black jeans that aren't faded/dirty. just google men's fetish wear. it's not rocket science, boys.

and if you know some women in your kink circles, ask for their advice. i know plenty of sub women who like helping men dress for parties, too. you'll draw good attention. but don't smell bad or be groomed poorly b/c you will waste all the cache you will have earned by just showing up in a great outfit. and b/c so few men will do it (at least in my part of the world) you will get way more attention than the men who don't bother. and what hetero man doesn't want to catch women's attention? just sayin'...
